Nestled in the heart of the coveted Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla is Santorini, a unique upscale condominium building less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean. Built in the 1990s, this complex looks like something you'd see on its namesake island in Greece. Units are outfitted with arched doorways and clerestory windows, offering residents unmatched access to the wonderful Southern California sun, even indoors. Santorini is a gated community of just 13 units, each with a pair of secure underground parking spots. Santorini condos are outfitted with wood flooring, plantation shutters, high ceilings and air conditioning for those rare hot summer days in La Jolla. Condos in the Santorini building are generally priced from the mid-$600s to just over $1 million, and carry HOA dues of about $500 a month. With only 13 units, however, these condos don't come on the market very often, and search for active listings often come up empty.
